Description
Sodium-cooled fast reactor (SFR)  is a fast breeder reactor (FBR) with liquid sodium as coolant.
An electromagnetic pump is installed on the sodium circuit. And the pump can be started only when the sodium circuit is full of liquid sodium. The Online Sodium Monitoring System can real-timely monitor the presence of liquid sodium in the circuit, which provides a reference for the start-up of electromagnetic pumps in the nuclear power plants. It can prevent the electromagnetic pumps from burning and ensure the quality of the liquid sodium and the safety of the circuit. 
 
The Online Liquid Sodium Level Detection System can continuously monitor the changes of liquid sodium level in the main container, main pump, sodium buffer tank, and expansion tank, etc.  It is the key equipment of the primary and secondary circuits in the nuclear power plants. 
 
 

Key Technologies：

Interactive,non-contact measuring method is adopted to fill the domestic technology gap.

Advantages ：

nOnline continuous detectionreplaces  foreign single-point detection method.

nHigh accuracy and reliability.

nThe three-coil spiral structure is easy for installing and maintaining with long service life.

Application：

It is applied to the sodium-cooled experimental fast reactor of China Institute of Atomic Energy (CIAE).

The prototype has been tested and is being optimized.
