Breaking Boundaries: Tackling Six Core R&D Challenges Through Team Collaboration
Fresh graduates often enter the workplace with the courage and enthusiasm of newcomers. They are willing to express their ideas openly. Although their experience may still be limited, their sincerity, passion, and willingness to explore bring valuable energy to the team.
They may not yet be familiar with established workplace routines, but this unfamiliarity also gives them fewer constraints and greater courage to challenge conventional thinking.
They stay up late researching for a project, celebrate every small achievement, and quickly regain momentum after setbacks.
This vibrant spirit inspires those around them and brings renewed energy and creativity to the entire team.
As a key promoter of the company’s innovative talent development program, I personally witnessed this experiment that challenged traditional training approaches.
When more than 40 young talents were divided into six project teams and assigned six core R&D challenges, an immersive, hands-on training journey officially began.
Instead of following traditional onboarding methods, we placed these newcomers directly into real-world project scenarios.
Each team operated like a small startup: some members developed technical blueprints, some analyzed market strategies, while others managed production plans and execution milestones.
The six projects represented either emerging strategic directions for the company or long-standing technical challenges requiring continuous breakthroughs.
Faced with these challenging assignments, the young engineers did not work independently. Instead, they united as a team and supported one another.
With this shared commitment and collaborative spirit, they gradually made meaningful progress on their projects.

Three Days of Intensive Training: From Newcomers to Capable Problem Solvers
The very first day of training revealed an energy unlike traditional programs.
When each team began discussions based on the framework I developed for “How to Evaluate a Project Proposal,” I was impressed by their strong systematic thinking, which exceeded expectations.
Some used mathematical models to develop temperature measurement solutions; others applied supply chain models to calculate cost curves. Some teams even simulated real-world application scenarios on site.
This integrated approach, combining theoretical analysis, market research, and project management, demonstrated new possibilities beyond traditional linear R&D processes.
On the second day, wearing their white work uniforms, the newcomers demonstrated an even stronger sense of professionalism.
The six teams followed the evaluation requirements closely, presenting their project market analysis, technical solutions, and implementation plans while also engaging with suppliers for further research and validation.
Through this hands-on experience, more than 40 newly graduated engineers enhanced their research capabilities, market analysis skills, and project management awareness. Some teams demonstrated strong theoretical foundations and analytical abilities.
During the presentations, project representatives showed confidence and enthusiasm. They explained technical formulas, analyzed data curves, and presented comprehensive proposals with passion and professionalism.
The presentation session became a modern-day “Jixia Academy,” where ideas, questions, and answers collided through lively academic discussions.
This was the true “Ramon Lecture Hall” — not only an accelerated training program for future R&D talents, but also an innovative transformation of traditional talent development methods.
The ability to quickly apply knowledge, integrate resources, and solve problems under pressure is exactly the quality required of innovative talents.
On the third day, the newcomers in black uniforms delivered an even more impressive performance.
During the open discussion session, different perspectives collided with passion. Through constructive debate and exchange, the teams refined their understanding and developed clearer project strategies.
True gold must endure the test of fire, and great waves eventually reveal the strongest.
With guidance from senior engineers across different departments, the three-day practical training achieved remarkable results. A group of outstanding young graduates with great potential emerged from the program.
They demonstrated clear logic, structured thinking, and confidence when facing challenges. With solid theoretical knowledge, rigorous analysis, and the courage to overcome difficulties, they embodied the fearless spirit of young innovators.

Breakthrough Results: A New Talent Development Model Driven by Young Innovators
More excitingly, several R&D projects that had remained challenging for years achieved breakthroughs through this training program. The teams not only completed project proposal reviews, but also developed preliminary solutions, implementation plans, and dedicated project teams. Their achievements greatly impressed department leaders and challenged previous expectations.
When the expert panel offered improvement suggestions, I saw more than nervousness in the newcomers’ eyes — I saw excitement driven by curiosity and a strong desire to learn.
The most valuable outcome of this training was discovering the key to cultivating innovative talents.
When the Hengyang team demonstrated remarkable performance with nearly half of its members holding postgraduate degrees, we made an immediate decision to break tradition: two new R&D departments would be established around outstanding young talents, empowering them to undertake key projects.
This “new talents empowering new talents” model prevents young engineers from being limited by existing patterns while continuously stimulating innovation and creativity.
The three-day training has come to an end. For the 2025 graduates participating in the “Ramon Lecture Hall,” it will undoubtedly become an unforgettable experience.
Looking at those energetic young faces during the closing ceremony, I could almost see the technological future of the company taking shape over the next decade.
What they hold is not merely a project proposal, but the possibility of reshaping the future of the industry.
When traditional R&D processes are infused with youthful energy, and knowledge inheritance forms a positive cycle with innovation breakthroughs, this bold experiment in accelerating talent growth will eventually grow into a towering tree of achievement.
