RAMON Intelligent Steelmaking Model

Back to List
RAMON Intelligent Steelmaking Model

The RAMON Intelligent Steelmaking Model is built upon the existing basic automation and information platforms of BOF in steel mills. Based on the premise of automatically collecting peripheral data on molten iron and scrap steel, it integrates dynamic monitoring equipment independently developed by RAMON—including flue gas analysis, flame analysis, sonar slag forming, oxygen lance vibration monitoring, and auxiliary lance monitoring—with static calculations of the smelting process (covering four major areas: slag, iron, temperature, and oxygen balance), reaction mechanisms, accumulated best practices, expert rules, and self-learning models, combined with upgrades to the BOF’s primary control system, the model enables precise prediction of molten steel temperature, carbon, and phosphorus content throughout the entire BOF smelting process. It also facilitates accurate monitoring of slag conditions and reliable forecasting of spatter and re-solidification events, while enabling automatic control and dynamic adjustment of lance positions and charging rates. This achieves “standardized and transparent” automated steelmaking.
