      The coil tail must be sheared before putting into coil collecting device in the process of producing steel coil. At present, all major steel plants rely on manual coil tail cutting. Due to various problems such as high temperature, heavy dust, long operation time, high labor intensity and high safety risk in the production site, it is difficult to recruit suitable coil tail cutting operators. Even if two operators are arranged to shear coil tail at the same time in each shift, it is difficult to guarantee the stably quality of sheared coil tail.

      In order to liberate labor, improve efficiency and promote the process of steel plant intelligence, RAMON has invested a lot of human resources and material resources into researching online automatic coil tail cutting system. The system adopts image recognition and robot to pull and cut coils respectively. It has powerful functions such as cutting follow, cutting fault alarm, fault record etc. It is the initial system in metallurgical industry! At present, it has been successfully accepted in Shagang Group.
